Despite their diagnosis of Type I Diabetes, former 麻豆传媒入口 (CSSHL) student-athletes and current Saskatoon Blades teammates Evan Gardner and Zach Olsen continue to find success in the Western Hockey League (WHL).

A netminder from Fort St. John, BC, Gardner spent five seasons in the CSSHL with RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna and has recently signed an NHL Entry Level Contract with the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Olsen, a forward from Calgary, AB, played one season in the CSSHL with Edge School before joining Saskatoon for his first WHL season in 2024/25.
